07/29/05 Eric Byrnes was traded to the Baltimore Orioles.
Byrnes will start in left field for the O's, bringing speed, energy, power and defense that should upgrade the position
considerably. He hit .249 with 17 doubles, seven homers and 29 RBIs in 74 games between the A's and Rockies this year. Bigbie
was the O's first-round pick in 1999, but his career has been marked by injury and inconsistency. In four-plus seasons with
the Orioles, Bigbie has batted .271 with 31 home runs.

07/13/05 - Eric Byrnes was traded to the Colorado Rockies.
The A's dealt away one of their most popular players in Byrnes after months of rumors they would, and he'll bring a different
brand of energy to the Rockies' outfield. Kennedy and Witasick give the A's bullpen depth, but the odd part of that is Kennedy's
made 115 starts in 125 career appearances.
